Hi-Octen: Our Racing Pedigree
How did we start? The Company were founded by Paul Nagel in 2000 and we were initially involved in professional motorbike racing. Our first assignment brought together Whirlpool UK and V&M Racing.
Hi-Octen managed the two year sponsorship that enabled V&M to win the British Supersport Championship and the Isle of Man Senior TT. Whirlpool enjoyed increased brand awareness and we also managed several hospitality events with their customers. A particular highlight was V&M's Jim Moodie riding in the World Supersport Championship at Brands Hatch, on a Whirlpool liveried bike (see photo below),
In November 2001 Hi-Octen launched their first company website. The site had been painstakingly built in-house and took several months! The growing opportunities presented by the internet were not missed by our customers and contacts in bike racing and Hi-Octen were soon acting as web site consultants.
The financial realities for most teams in motorbike racing meant that Hi-Octen's philosophy of reliable and affordable web site designs was quickly a success and became the main component of our business.
